On July 1st, Vermont-based Pete's RV Center officially assumed ownership of The Trail Center in North Charleston, SC.

Located just 11 miles from downtown Charleston, The Trail Center is Pete’s RV Center’s sixth dealership, and first in the southeast.

The Trail Center was founded in October 1966 by Fred Curtis, an USAF pilot who had a vision of South Carolina Low Country families spending quality time together in the outdoors. It has since grown into one of Jayco RV's most dedicated exclusive dealers.

Starting as an employee in 1973, and owner since 1993, Gloria Morgan welcomes the changing of hands, "I am happy to see Pete's RV come in and carry on with our 55 year tradition of quality customer service."

"Gloria Morgan is not only the heart and soul of The Trail Center.  She is also a staple in the RV industry.  It's an honor to assume ownership of a business so fondly recognized in Charleston and its surrounding communities," added Pete's RV co-owner Chad Shepard.

Pete’s RV Center’s original location in South Burlington, Vermont has been operating since 1952. Owners Chad Shepard, Todd McGinnis, and Scott Borden acquired a second location in Schererville, Indiana from Rollin-On RV in May 2011, followed by Van's RV in South Windsor, Connecticut in September 2015, Macdonald’s RV Center in Plainville, Massachusetts in 2018 and Gayle Kline RV in Plainville, PA in March 2020.
